Overcome Winter Blues with Horseback Riding Lessons!
We will be offering riding lessons beginning November through February at Stonewater Ranch in Plain, WA near Leavenworth.
Open to all ages and levels!
What we offer:
Beginner lessons: come learn from our schoolmaster horses at Stonewater ranch. Lessons will be an hour long with the first 30 minutes learning general horse care and safety and last 30 minutes learning groundwork and riding.
At-Liberty lessons: Wanting to strengthen your relationship and confidence with your horse and looking for something other than riding? This might be right for you! Come and learn how to get started on your journey! You and your horse will learn an extensive amount of ground work, better communication, respect and have the tools needed to take the halter off with confidence knowing that your horse is going to stay with you!
Leveled-up lessons: Already have experience riding and wanting to level up your skills in a specific discipline? We offer jump and dressage lessons, as well as, western lessons! Ride one of our horses or haul in your own!
Customized: Have a young or unpredictable horse that you are struggling to find confidence with? We offer lessons just for you! Bring your horse and we will customize a lesson to fit its needs! We are happy to ride it, coach you on it, or a combination of both! We will be focusing on softness, relaxation, confidence and help you get that perfect partner that you enjoy riding!
Rates: $60 Private or $50 Group

Hey! We are the Steffen sisters, Sierra and Marissa. We were born into horses, EXCITED to help you on your horsemanship journey! Our mission is to challenge you to become better, while ENJOYING every moment with your horse!
Our credentials:
- Trained over 50 wild Mustangs.
- 2024 Mustang Classic Top 10 finalist in Lexington, KY.
- 4X WA Mustang Madness Champion.
- 3X WA Mustang Madness Reserve Champion.
- 3X Teens And Oregon Mustangs Top 3 finalist.
- AQHA Young Horse Development Program participant.
- Worked for 2 years at a Jumper barn, “Foxbell Farm and Training”.
- Interned with “A” Pony Club Graduate and Dressage trainer Christine Headley.
- Current USPC members.
- Currently competing in Eventing on our wild Mustangs💫
We are excited to be partnering with Stonewater ranch and will be teaching out of their beautiful facility! Also, a percentage of all fees will be going towards supporting their amazing programs!
About Stonewater Ranch’s Mustang program!
The Stonewater Mustangs ministry is designed to share Christ with Northwest teens through the unique and powerful tool of building an all-Mustang herd of trail horses. The pairing of youth and Mustangs together creates a dynamic relationship where both can learn and grow.
Stonewater Mustangs’ ministry reaches youth within the Central Washington area through ongoing, year-round discipleship by offering bible study and horsemanship courses during the school year. Youth from around the Northwest attend spring, summer, and fall horse adventure camps. These youth come from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and economic statuses. It has been asked if we plan to work with troubled youth. The answer is: youth in America today ARE troubled and Mustangs in America today are IN trouble. We have an opportunity to help both.
Through the process of learning from and working with formerly wild BLM Mustangs, youth will have the opportunity to discover their inner-selves, gain self-discipline, and learn the importance and value of yielding daily to God’s control in their lives — just as the horses must learn to yield themselves to their human’s control.
